Overview & History
DIEHARD DOGS is a publication and website for the fans of Northeastern University athletics launched in the fall of 2004.
There was one reason behind the idea for DIEHARD DOGS: To provide a voice for the fans of Northeastern University’s athletic teams. We know there are plenty of Husky fans out there, and all of them have opinions and ideas. We wanted to create a community that would encourage the exchange of information and a place for healthy debate.
The way we are doing it is with this website a quarterly publication, Diehard Dogs magazine. We want to have the information about Northeastern sports that is nowhere else: the recruiting rumors, the insider details on hirings and firings, and the commentary that sources like goNU.com and the team media guides just can’t provide. In order to do it, we want as much input as possible from you — the fans.
Who is the hockey team recruiting? Are we ever going to get an on-campus stadium? Why can’t we win the Beanpot? We’ll ask the tough questions and get the insider’s perspective. We’ll also get your thoughts along the way.
So, get on board. Get a subscription. Contribute to the web forums. Let’s get this fan community built and let’s help make this a first-class Division 1 athletics program.
